A car accident at the intersection of Tooma and Woodman Streets has caused a woman to deliver baby by emergency c-section and left her badly injured. The woman was riding in a car when it was hit by an SUV. The baby is in good condition at a local hospital.

The Aveo was going south on Woodman when a Jeep Liberty driven by a girl, 17, pulled from a stop sign into the Aveo's path, police said.

The driver of the Jeep had only minor injuries. The driver of the Aveo, 25, was not seriously injured.

The San Diego Police are investigating the accident and no charges have been filed. It is unknown what caused the accident to happen.
